Meadows Primary School is committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment where racism is not tolerated. Racism harms students’ mental health, learning and sense of belonging. We celebrate the diversity of cultures, ethnicities and faiths of all our students. It is up to all of us at Meadows Primary School to make our school a place that is free of racism and where everyone feels respected and can learn in a safe and inclusive environment.

DownloadMinisterial Order No. 1359 outlines the guidelines for applying the Child Safe Standards in Victorian schools. These 11 Standards work together to establish the essential strategies and measures schools must adopt to foster a strong culture of child safety. While Standard 1 is specific to Victoria, Standards 2 through 11 are consistent with the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations, which were developed following the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Abuse.
The Child Safe Standards are based on the understanding that all children can be at risk and aim to support organisational cultures where child protection and abuse prevention are integrated into everyday practices.
The purpose of the Standards is to build environments where children can participate freely and confidently in community life, with the support and protection they need. At Meadows Primary School, we prioritise the safety, wellbeing, and dignity of every child. Our goal is to ensure all students feel secure, valued, and respected.
We are dedicated to upholding our duty of care and fully implementing the Child Safe Standards to provide the highest level of protection for all children in our school community.
