Dear Students, Families, and Community Members,
It is with great pride and excitement that I welcome you to Meadows Primary School, a school with a proud history, strong community values, and a clear vision for student success.
Located in the well-established residential area of Broadmeadows, within the North West Victorian Region (NWVR), our school was established in 2009 through the merger of Meadowbank Primary and Campmeadows Primary Schools. Since then, Meadows Primary has grown into a dynamic, inclusive, and community-focused learning environment.
At the heart of our school is our newly established shared vision:
"At Meadows Primary School, our vision is to inspire curious minds, build confident learners, and nurture a connected community where every child feels valued, supported and prepared to thrive in a changing world. ."
Our culture is underpinned by our new core values of being Curious, Confident and Connected:
Our beautiful and spacious school grounds provide a calm and inspiring space for learning and play. The school features a Twenty-First Century Learning Centre with modern classrooms, a large, well-resourced library, dedicated full size gymnasium including change rooms, a newly renovated ART studio and newly established STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathermatics) Lab. We also have a purpose-built sensory room, spacious wellbeing centre where students are supported to regulate, can speak with our social worker and mental helath and wellbeing leader or simply find comfort in Iris, our wellbeing dog. Our buildings are all interconnected with break out areas, teacher offices and meetings spaces to enhance collaboration. Our students enjoy specialist programs in Physical Education, Visual Arts, Library, and STEM, which support discovery through a love of reading, creativity, physical wellbeing, communication, and critical thinking. Technology supports our learning across all levels, with large TV screens in every classroom, laptops for students in Years 3–6, and iPads for Foundation to Year 2, ensuring digital tools are accessible to all.

Meadows Primary School is committed to educational excellence and continuous improvement. Our staff participate in targeted professional learning aligned with the school’s strategic directions, aiming to build teacher capacity and improve student learning outcomes in literacy, numeracy, and wellbeing. We pride oursleves on evidenced based teaching and learning and supporting all of our students at their pint of need. Our SPARK Program is our targeted intervention program designed to build essential lieracy skills for students who need extra help. We also proudly partner with the Virtual Schools Victoria and their Victorain High Abilities Program where select students participate in an extension program in both literacy and mathematics.
We are proud of our strong partnerships with Dallas Neighbourhood House, Banksia Gardens and MacKillop Family Services, which enable us to provide responsive, tailored support to students and families, ensuring that wellbeing, safety, and care remain at the centre of our school culture.
Adding to the vibrancy of our community is our large community garden, a space where learning, sustainability, and community connection come to life. Our garden is tended with care and expertise by our very own horticulturalist, who leads weekly Community Garden Groups every Thursday. Community members come together to plant, harvest, and cook with the vegetables grown on-site, and our students regulalry use our school's industrial kitchen as part of their classroom learning, creating powerful learning experiences around food, health, and sustainability.
Meadows also offers both a kindergarten, run by the Northern Schools Early Years Cluster, and a Community Hub that serves as the heart of our extended school family. Through the Hub, families have access to playgroups, Maternal Health Care Nurse services, community events, and a free Breakfast Club three mornings a week, served from our fully equipped kitchen. This makes Meadows a true Birth to Year 6 school and supports positive transitions and lasting community connections. We have a newly established Parents and Friends Association who come together to make our fundraising events enjoyable and successful.
Our Community Welcome Area is another inviting space that encourages family involvement and helps build a strong sense of belonging.
At Meadows Primary School, we believe that every child has the right to feel safe, included, and inspired to reach their full potential.
Whether you’re a new family joining us or returning for another exciting year, I warmly welcome you to our school.
Together, we can continue to build a learning community where every child is supported to grow, lead, and thrive.
I invite you to visit our beautiful school and arrange a tour by contacting our school office.
Stay well, stay safe
